I am Associate Professor at the School of Economics at the University of Sydney. I am a (mostly) microeconomic theorist with publications in the areas: (1) non-standard consumer preferences (in particular limited attention/focus): decision theory, model identification from different datasets, experimental testing, market applications; and (2) various topics in political economy.
More recently, I am focusing on causal persuasion and how data and narratives can shape beliefs about the cause-and-effect relationships. I also have some interest in (the theory side) of applied structural nonparametric estimation, especially with applications to political economy.
I currently serve as Deputy Head of School (Education) and as an Associate Editor at the European Economic Review.
